A day in Macau

where No gambling was involved!

I gotta admit i was itching to throw a note out to change for chips,
but we were running out of time!!

Jetty @ Macau!
If you can squint ur eyes n see the bottom of the red ferry, it's hollow!
it functions like a hovercraft concept!
(tried google it, but all the return is about buying ferry tickets - bummer*)

.

Arrived @ City of Dream! and was greeted by a water screen!
it's really water oh!!
sent me hopping around in excitement!

See darling being captured by a mermaid! ah!! don't!!
And me with a pink mermaid!!
City of Dreams comprise of 3 hotel, one of it is HRH!
so there u go, the signature HRH photo!
Me and my Dinosaur!
It was given out to kids and i took one.
As since coming to HK, i have an itch to stick stickers, Wellcome (the NTUC alike supermarket) gives shopper a sticker if your purchase exceeds sgd 12. I stuck them on rubbish papers before throwing them into the bin!

So for this dino, since i have no where to stick on, i stuck it onto myself!!!!

Full view of the Venetian Hotel!

taken when we were resting for our lunch at City of Dreams!

The free performance in City of Dream!
It's omnimax + 4D show all roll into one!
this is a must go, esp since it's free. Just get the ticket at the box office.

There was a scene where coins were jingling, literally falling from the sky.
U know what was my instinctive reaction?
I open up my hand trying to grab them when my eyes are staring in the sky looking at the gold coins falling! (will try to capture a picture just so u know the next time i back in Macau)!!

Hopped over to e Venetian. From the name, u can tell it's modelled after the beautiful city of Venice, which is a very special city to me. That's where Darling Conrad proposed to me!

On this Rialto bridge, I wore the Tiffany ring, hugged n teared!!

in venetian, there is Ponte Rialto too, just no water, but a paved road going through it!

Here's the Piazza in Venice!
I was really lucky to be in Venice with the most brilliant weather!

First day was drizzling, Second day was bright and shiny! I have heard friends' friends in

Venice during the flooding season which is super sucky coz most roads are closed n u can't possibly wad thru the water, it's not Children Pool we are talking about, it's real real flooding!

N coming from poorly paid Singapore, we can't afford the Gondola to taxi us around everywhere + it's still raining, where got mood to Gondolas around?
Plus the whole city smells big time due to the flooding. *yucky!

neway, here's the real Piazza!

N here's the look-alike!

They hotel management try to make it up by putting a painting of the real Venice right at the entrance, so tourist can easily compare what they are missing out on! =P

Despite being a copycat for the exterior, it's interior is not a copy of anything I have seen before! it's all gold gold gold, gold this gold that!
Should be easy job being their interior designer! hahah..

Remaking of Venice town.. This's the shopping arcade, which we thought, hey~it's water right, gotta be on the ground floor yeh? - our assumption.

we were so wrong!

Ground floor was entirely gambling den, n the water canal is on the 3rd floor!!

So let's just indulge in the dream that we are back at where we were last October (09)!!

next we head out to the other side Macau island, i should say, the mainland side.
First up is Wynn Hotel!

Next up is Grand Lisboa - Uncle Stanley Ho's 2nd casino in Macau to compete with those
Las Vegas brand when Macau govt liberalise the gambling dens!!

Stanley Ho's 1st Casino Hotel.
I was like ||| when i saw it, it's more like an old-fashioned circus than anything else.
Like that how to compete?!
Even we din't step into the hotel, besides dropping at the entrance as
we took their free bus over there!

While walking to Da-San-Ba, where i wanna see the iconic St Paul's remains, we chanced upon this egg tart shop that was used as filming location for FLOWER OVER BOYS!
(don't drool yet!)

I was Gam-Jan-Di for a sec, but I din't left my wallet at the counter,
like wat happened in the show!

It's egg tarts n we have to queue up for it lo! See got number bling bling like in clinic, waiting for our turn to see doctor...

Finally we reached!
And contemplated giving up trodding up the gazzilion steps,
but finally weed out our lazy bugs n began the ascend!

Need to keep taking photos to make every second of my walk up worthwhile!!

N quite an incredible view from atop.
No regrets for trodding up!

The acsend all began when i asked darling,
"Aren't you curious about what's behind the burned-out church door?"

heehee.. they say,''curiousity killed the cat''
now i know why..
n in my case, it's more apt to say "curiosity killed the lazy bugs"

There u go, here's what's behind!
period.
enough said.
just satisfied.

Afterwhich, we rushed back to The Venetian for our 6.30pm ZAIA show!

We were very very lucky, as we walked/jogged/siamed ppl back to Uncle Ho's 2nd Casino,
they are sneaky to hide the free shuttle bus at the basement.
So, we asked ard n headed down, but was blocked by a bouncer who wanted us to show our bus ticket, which we don't have. Shitty! But he let us in on the secret - go get it from any dealer in the casino!

oohh! it's a way to direct visitors into the casino if u want to take their free shuttle bus (cheapskate! but i salute the marketing, have to find ways to earn more $ right?)

The dealer at the nearest desk, seeing us young kids, immediately gave us the bus ticket upon asking them. More to shoo us away since from the look, they know we won't gamble or more aptly, we don't seems like RICH KIDS with oil in our backfield.

Our first Cirque de Soleil!

Again a signature photograph of the stage we go to!

Upon exiting, we saw this, but was over!
A *mad* guy spent a week or two stacking the venetian structure using playing card!
must bw quite a xiao person to do this!!

lastly a photo of us with ZAIA poster!

And last of all, ending this entry with a pict of another casino - Sands!
Let's just hope that the one in Singapore wont be as "CINA" as this!
